Friends & Foundation Volunteer Spotlight: Anne H. Filson

Our intrepid volunteer Anne Filson shows up at our warehouse every week to help sort donated books and prepare for the next book sale event. Anne brings to the task not only her professional experience as a public school librarian, but also her boundless energy and indefatigable good cheer. Anne and her spouse, John Filson, are also longtime library supporters and major donors.

Anne has said that, “Libraries are the heart of a community. I was raised in libraries and I raised my kids in libraries. I’ve always worked or volunteered in libraries wherever I’ve lived, and when I moved to Corvallis, I found a community of friends through the Friends of the Library.”
